As she digs into our academic and institutional clients’ goals and aspirations, Rhoda finds that path to neatly-distilled design solutions. Rhoda recently led projects to achieve mission-driven results for The New School and Dickinson College, and recently led the firm’s design of The Women’s Building, a new center for the women’s and girls’ rights movement in New York City. Driven by her passion for leading teams spanning wide-ranging disciplines, she brings order to some of our most complex projects.

“New College taught me rigor and discipline in an atmosphere of chaos and freedom. This resonates with how I approach my life and work today. I try to bring rigor and discipline to my project teams while appreciating the varied personalities and perspectives that make each client, team member, and project, unique. And I try to have fun whenever possible, or at least laugh a lot. It helps.”

After New College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree, she earned her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Florida. Rhoda joined Deborah Berke Partners in 2002 and became a Principal of TenBerke in 2019. Rhoda contributes to the practice’s operations and runs our mentoring program with Caroline Wharton.
