A community arts and performing arts center in New York's East Village, 122 Community Arts Center will provide facilities for three organizations with deep roots in their respective artistic communities: Painting Space 122, one of New York's oldest and best-established artists' residency programs and exhibition spaces; Mabou Mines, the eminent avant-garde theater company; and Performance Space 122, one of New York's oldest Off-Broadway theaters. The renewal of the center will create an environment of great exploration, innovation, and risk-taking.
