The New York Times Champions NXTHVN as an Important New Building by a Women-Led Practice
September 21, 2018
The New York Times recently declared, “Architecture is No Longer Just a ’Gentleman’s Profession’.” Obviously not. We were honored they included NXTHVN in a round-up of notable publicly accessible projects by women-led practices around the world. Located in the Dixwell neighborhood of New Haven, CT, the project is an arts and community incubator that will provide studio space and mentorship for emerging artists. Led by Partners Deborah Berke and Maitland Jones and Senior Associate Chris Yost, NXTHVN includes studios, fabrication space, co-working and event spaces, galleries, and residences for artists. Read the Times piece by Reed Kroloff here, and learn more about the project in this new video.
