SUNY Fredonia Rockefeller Arts Center Opens to the public
October 24, 2016
Deborah Berke Partners is proud to celebrate the reopening of the Rockefeller Arts Center at the State University of New York in Fredonia. We added a 60,000 square foot addition to the building, which was originally designed by I.M. Pei and opened in 1969. The new glass and zinc addition respects the austere architecture language of the original building while making it more transparent and welcoming to students and the public. The project includes new studios for dance, music, sculpture, and ceramics, as well as classrooms and multipurpose spaces. We extend our congratulations and thanks to the university and all our collaborators on this important cultural facility.
