New photographs of 21c Oklahoma City
August 16, 2016
The latest edition of the 21c Museum Hotels recently opened in Oklahoma City. Located in a 1916 Albert Kahn-designed former Model T Ford Assembly Plant, the hotel, restaurant, bar, and galleries, have a simple, modern design that reinforces the spatial and structural clarity of the Kahn building. We cut a series of monumental glass block light wells into the floorplates to bring natural illumination deep into the center of the building. As with all the 21c projects, contemporary art is integrated throughout the public areas, hallways, and guest rooms. The project brings new vitality to the western edge of Downtown Oklahoma City, and we are proud to be a part of it. Go here to see some new photographs.
