“Asylum,” is the latest art exhibit on view in our gallery. It is a show of photographs by photographer Chris Payne. Payne specializes in the documentation of America’s vanishing architecture and industrial landscape. “Asylum” will be on view by appointment through March 29th.
The exhibition is the result of a six-year exploration of America’s vast and largely abandoned state mental institutions. The Richardson Olmsted Complex, a former asylum that our office is reimagining as a boutique hotel, appears in Payne’s exhibit. MIT Press published his works in a book of the same name.
