48 Bond Street and 21c Cincinnati recognized with design awards
March 7, 2014
48 Bond Street has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the Historic Districts Council’s inaugural Design Awards competition. The goal of the program is to recognize “talented contemporary designs that adapt and transform historic buildings in New York City.” Our design for 48 Bond Street, an 11-story ground-up residential building in NoHo, takes inspiration from the historic neighborhood. We responded to the rhythm of the street’s undulating brick buildings with our façade of charcoal-gray granite and canted glass windows. See more photographs of the project here.
21c Museum Hotel, Cincinnati, was honored with a Special Mention for Architecture + Preservation by the Architizer A+ Awards. The award recognizes the project for its “unique architectural disposition.” 21c Cincinnati combines sophisticated architecture, contemporary art, and historic character to create a unique experience for the modern traveler. We worked closely with 21c Museum Hotels and PWWG Architects to renovate and restore the landmarked Metropole Hotel, originally built in 1912. See more images of 21c Cincinnati here.
