Urban Intersections: São Paulo Released

Urban Intersections: São Paulo, a book based on the graduate design studio taught at Yale by
Deborah Berke and Katherine Farley, vice president of Tishman Speyer. The studio investigated solutions for a mixed-use program of market-rate housing grounded in the developer’s requirements for a hillside neighborhood in São Paulo, Brazil.
Available at Amazon, the book includes master plan analyses and concepts for integrating varied uses with a residential development in a sustainable way. It was co-edited by Nina Rappaport of the Yale School of Architecture and Noah Biklen, one of our Associates, who also taught the studio.
