122 Community Arts Center Breaks Ground
21 NOV 2013 – Yesterday, Deborah Berke, Maitland Jones, and our design team joined NYC Council Members Rosie Mendez and Jimmy Van Bramer, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs Commissioner Kate D. Levin, and Department of Design and Construction Commissioner David Burney for the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the 122 Community Center.
The ceremony celebrated the $31 million renovation and transformation of the former public school building in New York’s East Village. Construction has just begun on the project, which will house AIDS Service Center NYC, Mabou Mines, Painting Space 122, and Performance Space 122 when completed.
